The Sport Concussion Seminar is a two hour power point presentation featuring the following topics: What is a concussion? How do concussions occur? Common signs/symptoms. How do I manage a suspected concussion. Screening/Diagnosis. Coping with a concussion. Return to play. Prevention. The seminar is ideal for coaches, parents, athletes and trainers.
The seminar will be presented by Martin Mrazik is a clinical neuropsychologist and an Assistant Professor at the University of Alberta. He completed his Ph.D in clinical Neuropsychology from the University of Georgia. Dr. Mrazik has conducted research and provided clinical services to athletes suffering from concussions in sport and consults with the NHL and CFL. His current interests are involved in brain injuries and children with developmental disabilities.
There is no fee for participants. Please register with ASDC early as space is limited.
